Set in beautiful grounds with glorious views over the Tuscan Countryside, the Relais Santa Chiara is located just a short walk from San Gimignano, one of the most beautiful towns in the whole of Tuscany. San Gimignano has a spectacular skyline, dominated by 14 high towers, which were built by rival nobles; each trying to build higher than the other.  The town has a meticulously preserved centre, and the Relais is located next to the Porta San Giovani, one of the medieval gateways into the town. Located in a building originally used as craftmens’ studios, the Relais Santa Chiara has the charming atmosphere of a country residence, with its terracotta tiling, serena stone and elegant furnishings.  The hotel offers 41 beautifully appointed guestrooms and suites, some with large balconies overlooking the gardens and countryside.
