SETTING & STYLE
Opening in March 2015 , JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa is a new luxury resort, located on its own private island of Sacca Sessola, also known as Isola delle Rose (Rose Island) in the Venetian Lagoon. Just a 15-minute boat ride will bring you to the centre of Venice and Piazza San Marco (St. Mark’s Square), making the resort a scenic and relaxing retreat from which to explore this beautiful and unique city.
Man-made in 1860, the state-protected Rose Island is one of the largest of the Venetian islands. The island has number of original buildings, which have been incorporated into the overall design of the resort, and now house the stylish rooms and suites, whilst retaining the buildings’ original façades. The old, formal gardens provide the hotel with much of its fruit and vegetable produce. Away from the bustle of the city, the resort focuses on tranquillity, personal service and informal luxury: its low key, contemporary design imparting a sense of harmony and wellness.
RESTAURANTS & BARS
The resort offers several distinct dining experiences. Situated in the main building, “Nourish” Restaurant offers an international buffet breakfast, whilst Restaurant “Il Dopolavoro” specialises in sophisticated Italian cuisine, for elegant indoor and al fresco dining. On the rooftop, Restaurant “La Sagra” offers simple and authentic cuisine and has stunning views over Venice. “La Sagra” Pool Bar serves the rooftop pool with drinks and snacks, and the “Rose Lounge” is an elegant lobby bar.
RELAX
The rooftop infinity pool provides a tranquil space to relax and rejuvenate, whilst enjoying spectacular views over Venice and the lagoon. The family pool is located in the gardens and children have their own club. The SPA and health club are the largest in Venice and accessible by boat via a cancel, which brings guests directly to its entrance. At the Chef’s cooking school, guests have the chance to learn the secrets of world class Italian cuisine. The resort operates a complimentary, 24-hour shuttle boat, which takes guests to/from the Piazza San Marco.
