In Palermo, explore its rich history, bustling markets, and architectural treasures, including the Palermo Cathedral and the iconic Palazzo dei Normani. Then, head to Cefalù, where you can unwind on its stunning beaches, hike up La Rocca for breathtaking views, and stroll through its charming medieval streets. Itinerary:

Day 1-3:

• 3 nights stay in Palermo
• Explore the historic centre, starting with the Palermo Cathedral, a stunning example of Norman architecture, and the nearby Quattro Canti, the iconic Baroque square
• Wander through the colourful “Vucciria” or “Ballarò” markets, where you can sample local street food
• Take a short trip to the nearby hilltop town of Monreale to visit its spectacular cathedral, renowned for its golden mosaics depicting biblical scenes
• Enjoy a small group cooking experience: Immerse yourself in Sicilian culinary traditions with a hands-on cooking class. In this intimate experience, you will learn to prepare traditional dishes such as pasta “alla Norma”, fresh seafood, or Sicilian desserts

Day 3-7:

• 4 nights stay in Cefalu
• Spend a day relaxing at one of Cefalù’s pristine beaches, such as Spiaggia di Cefalù, perfect for swimming and sunbathing.
• Hike up La Rocca to enjoy panoramic views of the Mediterranean coastline and the town below. At the summit, explore the ruins of the ancient Temple of Diana and a Norman castle.
• Enjoy a boat trip along the coast and a meal in a typical Fish restaurant

Francesca was born and raised in Palermo and took a Bachelor degree in Cultural Tourism. She pursued a University master’s degree in international relations. Both degrees extend to History of Art and Linguistics of Italian, English and Spanish. She has also obtained a Certificate on the Unesco Heritage List for the Arab Norman Architecture. She has, of course, a profound understanding of the local history and culture of Sicily.

She has been a certified tour guide since 2014.
