Itinerary:
Day 1-3:
- 3 nights stay in Lucca
- Head out for a half-day wine tour in the surrounding countryside of Lucca. Visit family-owned wineries, where you’ll enjoy guided tastings of some of the region’s finest wines. Learn about the Colline Lucchesi wine region, famous for its Vermentino and Sangiovese wines
- Bike ride around the city wall (1hrs) followed by a typical “Aperitivo” in Piazza S. Francesco
Day 4-7:
- 4 nights stay in Siena
- Visit the town of Montalcino, home to the world-famous Brunello di Montalcino wine. Tour a local winery and enjoy a tasting of the rich, full-bodied Brunello wines, learning about the winemaking process
- Embark on a full-day wine tour of the Chianti Classico region, just outside of Siena. Visit renowned wineries such as Castello di Brolio and Castellina in Chianti, where you’ll enjoy tastings of Chianti Classico and other varietals, accompanied by local cheeses and meats
