Hotel & Residence Cormoran occupies an enviable position, directly on one of the beautiful, long sandy beaches, which characterise the area of Villasimius.  Located approximately 3.5km from Villasimius town, the hotel offers the best of both worlds, with a choice of hotel rooms or self-catering bungalows, villas & apartments.  It is perfect for those who enjoy the freedom of self-catering, but who also like to have the amenities of a hotel close at hand.

 One of Villasimius’ first hotels, Hotel & Residence Cormoran has the perfect location; directly in front of a long sandy beach, accessed via the hotel’s landscaped gardens and lapped by crystal clear, shallow waters.  Deck chairs and parasols are complimentary on the hotel’s private area of the beach, with sun-beds being available at local cost.   Beach/pool towels are complimentary for hotel guests (€2.50 per towel change for self-catering guests). A beach bar offers lunchtime snacks. The freshwater swimming pool is located in front of the beach. It has a diving board, snack bar and complimentary sun-beds and parasols.

Children have their own freshwater pool and complimentary mini-club for 4-12 year olds (operates 01June-21Sep – 0930-1230, 1600-1800 & 2100-2200hrs).  Children under 4 years are also welcome if accompanied by a parent.  Day and evening baby sitting is available (at local cost). The Young Club (operates 08June-07Sep) offers activities and tournaments for teenagers from 12 years upwards.

Breakfast is buffet style, whilst dinner is waiter service with a four choice menu (excludes drinks & mineral water)  The hotel sometimes organises typical Sardinian-style dinners. For lunch, one may choose the main restaurant, the buffet by the pool (open mid June to mid Sept) or snacks at the beach & pool bars. In the evenings there is live entertainment and also a piano bar (operates 6 days a week from 25May until 29Sep).  Other facilities include a photography studio, boutique and TV room.  For those on self-catering, there is a mini-market approximately 200mt from the hotel.

 For active guests, a good choice of sporting activities are available, including tennis court, beach & table tennis, bowling and beach volley-ball (all free).  In the local vicinity is a diving centre, boat & pedal boat hire, water-skiing and mountain bike hire.  A golf course and riding stables are approximately 3km away.  The Villasimius shuttle bus calls at the hotel (usually hourly from around 0900 until midnight from mid June to mid Sept) to take guests to/from town.  The cost is €2.50 per person each way.   • Accommodation:

    The hotel comprises of 70 simply furnished rooms (located in three buildings) and 52 self-catering units made up of 36 apartments, 10 bungalows and 6 villas).  All offer: shower room (no baths), air-conditioning, direct-dial telephone, satellite TV and safe.  Rooms also have hairdryer.  Rooms close to the beach front are available at a supplement (please note ‘seaside’ does not guarantee a view of the sea). Self-catering units have kitchenettes (without oven, microwave or dishwasher).


    Double:  Located on either the ground floor with verandah or upper floor with balcony.   Cot possible. Deckchairs and parasols are complimentary on the beach and sun-beds are available at local cost.

    Superior: Comfortably furnished with a small seating area, these rooms are ground floor and just a few steps from the beach.  Superior rooms include 1st row parasol & sun-beds on the beach, complimentary newspaper delivered to room, complimentary Wi-Fi in room, bathrobes and fruit basket & bottled water in room on arrival.

    Family. Located on the ground floor with furnished verandah.   The double bedroom has a door leading to a small area with a bunk beds (some with twin beds) capable of accommodating one or two children.  Cot also possible in main bedroom.
    Available gardenside or seaside.

    SELF-CATERING:

    2-bedroom apartments.  Located on the ground or first floor with furnished verandah or balcony. Two bedrooms (one double & one twin) shower room and kitchenette (no inside living area – table/chairs are on a covered balcony or verandah).  Apartments on the first floor have outside kitchenettes, whilst those on the ground floor have the kitchenette inside.   Extra bed for fifth person possible.

    2-bedroom bungalows.  Located in their own area, these terraced bungalows consist of two double bedrooms and a living room with a double sofa-bed. Separate kitchenette and furnished verandah with private garden area.  Extra bed for sixth person possible.

    3-bedroom villas.  Located in their own area, each villa is detached and has a ground & first floor.  The ground floor comprises of a split-level living area, shower room, separate kitchenette and double bedroom.  The upper floor has a double bedroom, another bedroom with bunk beds, plus an additional shower room.  Furnished verandah.  Extra (sofa) bed for eighth person possible
